Tui reports 'super busy' start at new Scotland store
Tui has reported a “super busy” start to its new-look East Kilbride store in Scotland.
The company refurbished and relocated the town’s store to the Shopping Plaza in East Kilbride, near Glasgow.
The store shut in November to move to the more customer-friendly location and reopened on December 6.
The company has reported hundreds of customers have now paid the store a visit to book a holiday.
Retail manager Lynsey Deacon said: “We have been so excited about the opening of our sparkling new store in the East Kilbride Shopping Plaza.
“The whole team has loved welcoming customers into our spacious and modern store which has a lovely and warm atmosphere.
“Customers are loving our new look and we have been super busy already since we opened just a couple of weeks ago. It’s been lovely hearing such positive feedback from our regulars who said it’s like stepping on holiday from the moment they walk in.”
The shop’s best selling destinations continue to be Benidorm, Tenerife and Turkey while there has also been an increase in bookings to Mexico, New York and Marella Cruises since the move, she said.
She added: “Our team is bursting with expertise as we have over 130 years of travel agent experience among our colleagues.
“We pride ourselves on being able to offer expert travel advice and our team particularly has lots of knowledge on Europe, the Caribbean, city breaks and cruises, so we are definitely ready to help customers find their dream holiday.”
The store, which is open seven days a week, is one of 330 Tui branches nationwide.
