Live from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, current UFC featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski collides with interim champ Yair Rodriguez in a unification bout at UFC 290!

Entering the octagon with an impressive 25-2 record, Volkanovski had his 22-fight winning streak snapped when he lost to Islam Makhachev via unanimous decision at UFC 284. Alexander’s only other defeat came at the hands of Corey Nelson at an Australian Fighting Championship event in May of 2013.

Rodríguez (15-3) captured the interim championship by defeating Josh Emmett at UFC 284. Yair last felt the sting of defeat at a UFC Fight Night event in November of 2021, losing to Max Holloway in a unanimous decision. Which fighter will exit UFC 290 as the unified featherweight champion? We’re about to find out.
