Aislinn Meaney re-signs for 2025 - Galway United
Galway United are delighted to announce that Aislinn Meaney has re-signed for the senior women’s team ahead of the 2025 season.
The 26-year-old attacker has committed to The Tribeswomen for 2025 and heads into her third season for Galway United after joining from IUP Crimson Hawks halfway through the 2023 season.
The Ennis native appeared 19 times for Galway United in all competitions last season, contributing with three goals as she helped her side retain the Avenir All-Island Cup for 2024.
Aislinn started her career playing locally with Lifford Ladies, before joining the then Galway WFC in 2017 and had an almost immediate impact, she won league player of the month in May 2018 and also made the league team of the year at the time, she then went to the United States to play with college sides Akron Zips and IUP Crimson Hawks.
Meaney would have a short spell with Treaty United before joining Galway United in 2023. As well as this she has been capped twice for the Irish Women’s National team making her debut against Portugal in 2018 as well as playing for the Ireland Women’s u17 side four times in 2015.
