TREATY United will look to secure a place in the semi-finals of the Munster Senior Cup this Friday night when hosting Midleton FC in a quarter-final tie at the Garryowen venue, 7.45pm kick-off.

Treaty United defeated Carrigaline United 2-0 in their third round Munster Senior League Premier Division fixture at Ballea Park last month.

Second half goals from Enda Curran in the 69th minute and debutante David Tarmey, who is on loan at Treaty United from Galway United, four minutes later, saw Tommy Barrett's charges emerge victorious.

Up to eight new signings could feature for Treaty United in the game at the Markets Field on Friday night.

Treaty United kick-off the 2024 SSE Airtricity League First Division with a game against Cobh Ramblers at the Markets Field on Friday, February 16 at 7.45pm.

Treaty United men's side finished in sixth place in the First Division last season, three points off the end of season play-offs.

Meanwhile, Treaty United has announced the signing of Alec Byrne this week.

The midfielder joins up for his second spell with the club having spent the latter half of the 2023 season with Cobh Ramblers where he helped the Cork side to a First Division play-off final.

Byrne spent almost eight years with Cork City FC across their academy and senior set-ups. He played every minute of City’s UEFA Youth League campaign in 2016, before progressing to the senior ranks where he made close to 50 appearances.

He joined Treaty United in early 2023 and was an integral part of the team’s midfield with 19 appearances and is now back with the club as the new season looms.

Treaty United also confirmed the departure of Conor Winn from the Senior Men’s playing squad in recent days.

The goalkeeper joined Treaty United in early 2022 ahead of the SSE Airtricity League First Division season and spent the last two seasons at the Markets Field.
