The Holywood golfer completely outperformed his playing partners Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele. Scheffler had to settle for a 1-over 71 while Schauffele carded a 70.

Cantlay − who shares the lead with McIlroy made three birdies in his final five holes of the day to card his five-under 65.
