Vivek Ramaswamy drops out of presidential race, endorses Trump
Vivek Ramaswamy has dropped out of the race to win the Republican nomination for US president, capping an almost yearlong foray into politics that vaulted the biotech entrepreneur into the national spotlight.
The Roivant founder, who made a reputation during the buildup to primaries with his brash comments, conspiracy theories and extreme confidence, finished fourth in the Iowa caucuses. Immediately after he announced the suspension of his own campaign, he endorsed Donald Trump — the winner in Iowa who, in his words, is the only other “America first” candidate in the election.
