Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's much-anticipated multi-million dollar Spotify deal, inked in December 2020, has been scrapped less than three years on. The Sussexes' partnership only yielded Meghan's Archetypes podcast series, with Harry making just a single appearance and not hosting his own series.
This raised eyebrows about Harry's lack of solo projects under the contract before its termination. At the time the deal was cut, it was reported that Harry had discussions with various producers regarding potential shows.
Bloomberg revealed one concept involved Harry interviewing high-profile figures like Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, delving into their early years and the impact on their adult lives. Another idea reportedly included a chat with Pope Francis, focusing on significant global issues such as climate change and faith.

It was announced in June 2023 that the Spotify partnership with Harry and Meghan would come to an end. Both the streaming service and the Sussexes' production company agreed to cease their collaboration, proudly stating, "mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together," reports the Mirror.
A senior official at Spotify, Bill Simmons, later branded Harry and Meghan as "f***ing grifters" following the termination of their podcast contract.
While venting his frustration, Simmons asserted: "The f***ing grifters. That's the podcast we should have launched with them. I've got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It's one of my best stories."
This news surfaces as Harry embarks on a visit to Vancouver ahead of his Invictus Games set for February 2025 in the same city. His itinerary included attending the Canadian football Grey Cup, initiating an Invictus Games educational programme and participating in meetings with First Nations chiefs, where he provided Invictus Games tickets to youths at these gatherings.
Harry, who served as a British Army captain, founded the Invictus Games in 2014, which hosts international sporting events for wounded service members and veterans. In February, both Harry and Meghan officially started the countdown to the 2025 Winter Games at a ceremony in Whistler, introducing winter pursuits such as Nordic skiing, wheelchair curling, snowboarding and alpine skiing for the first time.
