I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is on our screens with a fresh line-up of celebrities headlined by TV personality and football WAG Coleen Rooney. Coleen, married to former England and Manchester United legend Wayne, has carved out a successful career largely through TV work, brand endorsements and her own clothing line.

She famously made headlines in 2019 when she accused Rebekah Vardy - wife of Leicester striker Jamie - of leaking stories about her to the press, a scandal that later became known as the 'Wagatha Christie' dispute.

Coleen has been married to former England and Man Utd star Wayne since 2008, having first met him at the age of 12, reports Wales Online.

They started their romance at the tender age of 16, with her supporting him as he rapidly ascended into football superstardom and became a global sensation during his teens. The couple, blessed with four sons—Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass, whose ages range from 15 to six—have weathered a tumultuous relationship marked by high-profile scandals and claims involving Wayne's fidelity.

Prior to their marriage, reports surfaced that Wayne had patronised a brothel on numerous occasions, with allegations of such encounters continuing post-wedlock. Notably, the former Man Utd player was said to have been unfaithful with a prostitute while Coleen was pregnant with their first child, Kai — an incident that led her to seek refuge at her parents' home with the newborn.

Despite these indiscretions, Coleen extended forgiveness, only for further rumours of infidelity to emerge. In a serious lapse in 2017, Wayne faced arrest for drink driving when apprehended in the car of office worker Laura Simpson, whom he met that same night at a bar.

Simpson later went public, stating they shared a "kiss and cuddle" and intimated that their evening could have escalated, which left Coleen "heartbroken" and prompted another temporary separation from their household.

Reflecting on the moment she uncovered the latest scandal, Coleen shared: "I've had that feeling in my stomach a few times and I would never wish anyone to feel that. You do think, do I actually know this person, when things like that happen.

"You know, 'You're not the person I married and the person I want you to be.' He just said, 'I'm sorry I'm sorry'. And I said well, 'You can't be sorry because you know it's wrong what you've done' and I just kept saying you're stupid, you are just so stupid. I was just heartbroken. I just said I can't stay in the house and I went and stayed in my mum's with the children."

Despite the heartache, Coleen has chosen to stand by her husband, recently admitting that she wasn't ready to give up on their marriage as there "was always love still there."

On Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, she discussed her reasons for repeatedly forgiving her husband: "You could draw a line under it but, with me and Wayne, I've always said, there was always love still there. So why throw it away when you can work at it? " "If you work at it, and it doesn't work, then forget about it and go your own separate ways. But, there's always been love... we never wanted to part."
