When Is 'We Live In Time' Coming To Streaming On Max And Digital?

"We Live in Time" is now in theaters.

Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh’s emotional new film, We Live in Time, has finally hit theaters in the U.S. for a limited release. If you’d prefer to wait and watch the tearjerker from the comfort of your home, read on to find out when We Live in Time is expected to arrive on Max and digital platforms.

We Live in Time bounces around three different periods in a British couple’s life, from their meet-cute when Almut accidentally hits Tobias with her car to navigating personal and professional challenges, like Almut’s cancer diagnosis. “Almut and Tobias are brought together by a surprise encounter that changes their lives,” the official synopsis reads. “As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of their unconventional love story.”

In a recent interview with Town & Country, Pugh said the film is about “loving, being loved, giving love, and we all recognize it.” She continued, “Going into this movie, knowing that we’re going to feel something is a great thing. It’s exactly why the movie has been made. There are so many scenes in there that are designed to make you feel things. That’s the point. What a wonderful thing.”

Meanwhile, Garfield added that the movie tells “the kind of story that everyone who has ever loved, everyone who has ever longed for life, to be alive fully, will feel themselves within, will feel their own story being told.”

The poignant film currently boasts a solid 80% critics score and an impressive 90% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Here’s when you will likely be available to stream We Live in Time at home.

We Live in Time will eventually be able to stream on Max at a later date. The film’s production company, A24, signed a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery in December 2023 to bring its theatrical films to the streaming site this year. We Live in Time will likely arrive on the Max sometime before the end of 2024. The good news is that We Live in Time will be available to stream on video-on-demand platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Fandango at Home before making its way to Max in a few months.

Studios typically wait at least 45 days after a film's theatrical premiere for digital release. For comparison, A24's Civil War had a 42-day waiting window from theaters to digital. So, the earliest We Live in Time could arrive on digital sites is around November 25, 2024.
