It's expected to hit Ireland overnight, with two status yellow warnings issued by Met Eireann.

Storm Lilian will hit Ireland and the United Kingdom with weather warnings now in place for 21 counties across the country.

It's expected to hit Ireland overnight, with two status yellow warnings issued by Met Eireann.

The first affects the middle of the country and begins at 10pm, the second begins at midnight and affects the southern half of Ireland.

The warning will take effect from midnight until 6am tomorrow and will cover Kildare, Munster, Wexford, Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, and Dublin.

Counties Clare, Galway, Roscommon, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, and Westmeath will also be impacted.
