After closing WWE Bad Blood with an electrifying return, The Rock took to Instagram and embarked on a sprawling, ranting walk around the backstage area.

The Rock appeared after the main event of Bad Blood came to a close, with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes emerging victorious against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Jimmy Uso made his return to offer his support, trading blows with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. With the event seemingly ready to end, The Rock’s music hit and he appeared on the entrance ramp, only for his music to then change to The Final Boss theme. Bad Blood went off air after The Rock exited the stage, but that wasn’t the end for The People’s Champ.

Posting on Instagram, The Rock documented the immediate moments before and after his appearance, including a sprawling walk around the backstage area. While greeting numerous WWE staff members on his way, The Rock shared his thoughts on his long-awaited return, and made it clear he hasn’t missed recent developments with The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes:

“Is the final boss pissed? Is the final boss happy? Is he somewhere down the middle? The Rock is feeling a lot of things about what he just witnessed. The Final Boss is feeling a lot of things. And you know why? There’s been a lot of bull**** that’s been going on in the last six months.”

Regarding the reason for his return and his intentions going forward, The Rock didn’t give much away, stating, “The Final Boss will tell you when The Final Boss is ready for you to know.” Proudly sporting the People’s Championship, which was “bestowed [to him] by Mohammed Ali’s wife herself”, The Rock shared how it felt to be back, especially after such a chaotic night:

“What just happened out there at Bad Blood – that was heated. That was fire. That was hell. But this? This is heaven. Heaven every time the final boss is here.”

Before jumping in his truck and putting ‘Tush’ by ZZ-Top on repeat, The Rock passed through an area of trailers with the faces of WWE icons plastered on each of them. Addressing the image of John Cena, The Rock told him to “go eat some Fruity Pebbles,” before turning his attention to the Dusty Rhodes image and making his feelings quite clear:

“I love you. I hate your son.”

The Rock’s last appearance in WWE was back in April on the Raw after WrestleMania 40, where he handed Rhodes a mystery item that could not be seen on camera. Rock stated that Rhodes already knows what this item is and to not break his heart again. While further information on this item and his plans going forward are currently unclear, The Rock looks set to insert himself back into the Bloodline feud, and could also feature in John Cena’s retirement run.
