WASHINGTON (TND) — X owner Elon Musk in an interview with commentator Jordan Peterson Monday likened his child’s gender transition to a death and blamed the “woke mind virus” for killing her.

Vivian Wilson, who uses "she/her" pronouns, filed to change names in 2022, according to various reports. Wilson reportedly said her decision to drop Musk as her last name was partly due to not wanting to “live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”

Musk said he was “tricked” into helping Wilson seek her gender transition.

"It happened to one of my older boys, where I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier,” he said. “This is before I had any understanding of what was going on. COVID was going on, so there was a lot of confusion and I was told Xavier might commit suicide."

"That was a lie right from the outset," Peterson interjected.

Incredibly evil, and I agree with you that the people that have been promoting this should go to prison," Musk said.

Musk went on to describe deadnaming, the practice of referring to a transgender person by their name given at birth. The term earned its name for a specific reason, he said.

I lost my son, essentially,” he said. “They call it deadnaming for a reason. The reason it's called deadnaming is because your son is dead. My son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus."

Musk said the experience made him vow to “destroy the woke mind virus.”

The X owner this month engaged in a fiery social media exchange with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, saying he would relocate his businesses from the state over a new law restricting schools from disclosing changes in a child’s gender identity to parents.

“This is the final straw,” Musk said of the law.
