Zara King shares first photo of partner as they tie the knot

Zara King is officially a married woman!

The Virgin Media News presenter and her partner Cian tied the knot on Friday, July 5 in Courtmacsherry, West Cork.

Posting a snap from her big day, which is the first photo she's shared of her husband, Zara sweetly quoted E.E. Cummings, writing: 'Here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart. Icarry your heart, I carry it in my heart.'

Zara opted for an elegant bridal gown which featured a structured sleeve. She wore her long blonde locks in curls cascading down, which she complemented with a veil.

A host of the journalist's Virgin Media co-stars were in attendance at the affair, including her The Group Chat podcast co-hosts Gavan Reilly and Richard Chambers as well as Ireland AM's Muireann O'Connell, who dazzled in a green Rebecca Vallance gown for the occasion.

Zara announced her engagement in August 2023 after her partner Cian popped the question during a trip to Connemara.

Her family and friends later treated her to a pink-themed bridal shower to pamper her and blow off some steam before her wedding day.

The presenter recently told EVOKE that she underestimated the amount of work involved in planning a wedding, but said she wanted to get married this year rather than 'drag it out'.

'We're getting married this summer, we still have loads to organise but I'm loving it,' she told us. 'I underestimated how much work it is to plan a wedding. I didn't really want to drag organising something out over two years.'

'I don't think I have the time or the concentration to do it over two years, but then it's funny because you ring people to book things, and they are like "most people have that booked from two years ago" and I'm like ahhh!'
