Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have reportedly "decided to take a break" after a year of dating.
"They are both young and career-focused," a source told People. The 25-year-old songstress and the 32-year-old actor have been the centre of breakup speculation for some time.
Rumours of their relationship started when the duo was seen out for dinner in LA in December 2023. Barry's support for Sabrina came through clearly as he attended her gigs, most notably in October when she gave him a lyrical shout-out during her performance.
The Dublin man was even snapped capturing the moment on film at her show before joining her on a golf cart for a swift exit. In interviews, Barry didn't hold back praising his "massively talented" girlfriend and expressing his excitement over her Grammy nods, reports the Irish Star.
Keoghan and Carpenter turned heads at the Met Gala, appearing absolutely smitten with each other. They've been captured in a slew of snuggly photo ops, showing off their chemistry.
Before his whirlwind romance with Carpenter, Barry shared a long-term connection with Alyson Kierans, who is also the mother of his young son Brando. The couple went public in 2021, celebrated their child's arrival in August 2022, and seemingly parted ways in the summer of 2023. Carpenter has been previously romantically linked to Joshua Bassett and Shawn Mendes.
