There is now just one more season left to go in the story, with the final chapter set to air on Netflix.
It was revealed earlier this year that the Dublin star would be joining the cast as Tadgh alongside Brian Gleeson, as Jonny, for the final season of the show.
Top Boy first aired on Channel 4 before it was cancelled after two seasons and later picked up by the streaming platform Netflix in 2019.
The official synopsis for the final season said: "Sully’s actions at the end of the last series have rewritten his business rules with Dushane.
"As new shared problems arise, everything they've built comes under threat from forces outside and within their empire.
"Can they coexist by the rules of the road they’ve lived by their whole lives in a world that is changing before them - or can there only be one Top Boy?"
The show, created and written by Ronan Bennett, has aired its final season today and fans were quick to react to Barry in the show.
Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) fans sent the actor love.

One viewer commented saying: "Barry Keoghan made one hell of an entrance."

Another fan wrote: "Seeing Barry Keoghan as a gangster is something I didn’t know I NEEDED to see. Unbelievable actor man!"
Sasha gushed: "@BarryKeoghan is absolutely phenomenal in #TopBoy so far."
While Johnny also tweeted saying: "Barry Keoghan being on Top Boy was a good decision."
The actor also looked unrecognisable after he was spotted filming scenes for his new movie.
The Banshees of Inisherin star was snapped in the town of Gravesend yesterday looking the part for his role in Bird.
Bird, directed by American Honey filmmaker Andrea Arnold, began filming last month, but little is known about the film's plot or cast.
Barry has had a busy year so far, with the great success of The Banshees of Inisherin.
He also received an award for Best Supporting Actor in the film and an Oscar nomination.
The Dublin native was covered in temporary tattoos all over his chest and arms and wore bright red shorts.
He paired the shorts with black sliders and white socks.
Barry finished off his character's look by tucking his hair back underneath a grey flat cap and wearing a gold chain necklace.
His co-star rode behind him on the back of the scooter as he held on to Barry's waist.
And based on the images, Barry's character appears to be quite interesting.
So far, the cast has only been seen in this location, in Kent, UK, and Barry is the sole identifiable character.
