Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hugs Northern Ireland international Conor Bradley following the FA Cup win over Arsenal
Former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton believes Northern Ireland teenager Conor Bradley could be the country’s “highest profile player after (George) Best”.
‘The Jackal’ took to social media to praise the Castlederg man after coming on from the bench and helping Liverpool to a 2-0 win over Arsenal in their FA Cup third round tie at the Emirates Stadium.
Bradley, 20, came on for Harvey Elliott with a quarter of an hour remaining and helped Jurgen Klopp’s men close out the victory to take them into the hat for round four.
The international star was widely praised on social media for his handling of Arsenal and Brazil ace Gabriel Martinelli as the home side pressed for a late equaliser.
And one of those showing their admiration was Frampton, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say: “Here’s a shout, @conorbradley03 is going to be Northern Ireland’s highest profile player after Best”.

It’s a bold claim from Frampton given some of the stars that have gone before, such as Pat Jennings, Norman Whiteside, David Healy and the likes of Bradley’s current team-mates Steven Davis and Jonny Evans.
But the defender has started his career in an extremely impressive manner, working his way into the Liverpool squad after spending last season on loan with Bolton Wanderers.
Despite a long-term injury to start the season, Bradley has made four appearances under Klopp and is being widely touted to claim the right-back jersey on a permanent basis if Trent Alexander-Arnold moves into midfield permanently.
It is yet to be seen how his career pans out long-term but it certainly seems like he has a bright future ahead of him, especially since he has already won 13 caps for his country at such a young age.
