Northern Ireland international Conor Bradley has impressed as he helped Liverpool seal a late victory over Arsenal – impressing fans, players and managers after his performance.

The 20-year-old – who has 13 Northern Ireland caps – was one of those who helped Liverpool secure the 2-0 victory after he came on to replace Harvey Elliott with just 15 minutes left on the clock.

It resulted in a slick performance and caught the eye of pundit Alan Shearer. He told the BBC the cameo from the Liverpool young gun was “impressive”.

“Well done Conor Bradley,” said Shearer about his defending. “Staying alive and alert. I know they conceded a corner, but he had to do that.

“Doing well, isn’t he?! He has looked impressive when he has come on.”

And on social media, Bradley received accolades from his Liverpool team-mates and fans alike when he shared a post on Instagram.

Captain for the day Trent Alexander-Arnold summed up Bradley’s performance in one word: “Impact” while the overall club captain Virgil Van Dijk sent two clapping emojis to praise the display.

"What a player,” said Caoimhin Kelleher, a Liverpool goalkeeper.

"Class brother,” added Bobby Clark, who also came off the bench.

A fan said: “Played class today, what a cameo, definitely more chances to come.”

Another said: “Deserves the start next game.”

"Unbelievable performance, love it Conor, keep it coming,” said another.

Some highlights of his performance were shared on X, formerly Twitter, to the praise of followers. "He did well. Again,” said one. “He’s the next one for me - a young player who can be relied on now, and has the potential to be great.”

The senior appearance by Bradley will be a major boost after he signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool at the end of 2023.

After a back injury stalled the Aghyaran man’s club and international career, he was prevented him from kicking on after making his first appearance of the season in the Europa League win over LASK at Anfield.

Full-back Bradley joined Liverpool in 2019 from boyhood club Dungannon Swifts. He made his Liverpool debut in September 2021, and after a successful loan spell at Bolton, he has now made seven competitive appearances for Klopp’s side.
