Today’s Premier Division results at a glance:

Derry City do the damage in the first half to close the gap on leaders Shelbourne to two points, albeit with one game more played. Dundalk leapfrog Drogheda United at the foot of the table following Jon Daly’s victorious return to Richmond Park. After seeing off Shels on Friday, Sligo Rovers make it back-to-back wins to move up to sixth.

Full time: Derry City 3-0 Waterford

Listen to Brian Kerr's thoughts on St Pat's loss to Dundalk. The former Saints manager believes a number of their players aren't up to it:

11 minutes of additional time has been shown on the board in the late game, but the three points are surely going to Derry City.

As I write, Waterford defender Grant Horton has a speculative effort saved by Brian Maher before Podge Amond is ruled offside.

You can read Seán O'Connor's account of a 3-2 victory for Dundalk over St Patrick's Athletic as both managers faced their old clubs:

Waterford are still looking for their first goal and Pádraig Amond, whose head is heavily bandaged, latches onto a ball from deep but glances off target.

Blues boss Keith Long has just brought on Dean McMenamy and Robbie McCourt for Ben McCormack and Niall O'Keeffe.

11 minutes plus additional time, which is likely to be significant after that injury to Patrick McEleney, left to play.

There has been a lengthy stoppage in play at the Brandywell, as Patrick McEleney received treatment.

The winger eventually leaves the pitch on a stretcher with what looks like a serious injury.

Sadou Diallo is on in McEleney's place, while Dan Kelly has been introduced for Will Patching.

Coming up to the hour mark, it remains Derry City 3 Waterford 0.

Adam O'Reilly does brilliantly to nutmeg Darragh Leahy and whip in a cross from Pat Hoban. The striker connects but his attempt is high and wide.

At the other end, Brian Maher is well positioned to catch a powerful strike from Waterford full-back Darragh Power.

Read Jessica Farry's match report from The Showgrounds as Sligo Rovers edged out Drogheda United:

Full time: St Patrick's Athletic 2-3 Dundalk Seán O'Connor: Full-time here in Inchicore and it is Dundalk who leave with all three points after quite a remarkable game. They move to ninth and are now just seven points off eighth-placed St Pat's with two games in hand, but for Jon Daly, this one will taste sweet against his former employers.

St Pat's enjoyed most of the ball in the second half but failed to really work Dundalk's Ross Munro in goals. It's a first win on the road for Dundalk in 2024, and their first win over the Saints since March 2023.

The second half has started in the 6pm kick-off, where Waterford have a mountain to climb if they are to avoid defeat to Derry City.

Full time: Cork City 0-0 UCD

Full time: Kerry 2-1 Treaty United

Full time: Finn Harps 1-1 Athlone Town

Full time: Sligo Rovers 2-1 Drogheda United

Full time: Bray Wanderers 3-1 Cobh Ramblers

It's half time at the Ryan McBride Brandywell, where Derry City take a three-goal cushion into the break.

Late equaliser for Harps

With 88 minutes played, Patrick Ferry looks to have rescued a point for Finn Harps. They are level with Athlone Town at Finn Park.
